Hey, there! I’m JC (short for Juan Carlos). A bit about me? I’m an expat from Mexico living in Poland working for USA clients. Globalization, uh?

A bit more? I’m a project manager consultant. I love traveling, reading books, listening to music, and learning languages. I’m also a huge football fan (a.k.a., soccer, if you’re American), an avid gamer, and a dedicated foodie.

I guess the reason that brought you to this site is your curiosity about the world of EDC. Perhaps you already share my passion for EDC gear and gadgets. Honestly, I stumbled into it by chance and I was quickly enthralled. Probably because my mild OCD pairs nicely with some of its key benefits (preparedness and order).

But most of all, simply because they’re freaking cool.

Why am I starting this blog?

When I was a kid, I saved my allowance for weeks to buy one of those wildly popular calculator watches. Every time I looked at my wrist, I couldn’t stop thinking how cool it looked. Or how cutting edge it was (way back then, of course).

I felt really smart when I bought my first minimalist wallet. Finally got rid of the bulging bifold wallet I used to carry on my back pocket. Sitting for long hours was no longer an ordeal.

I was relieved when my keys ceased to jingle noisily in my pocket, by placing them in a key organizer. I also stopped constantly losing them by attaching a NFC (near-field communication) tag. I’ll admit it, I still do from time to time, but now I can quickly locate them.

I’ve got dozens of similar occurrences throughout my life. Including several eureka moments when I discovered new products that modern technology brings to us. Problem is, I didn’t even know they existed.

And that’s precisely what prompted me to create this space for idea sharing.

If you’ve experienced something similar, I’ll be willing to bet that’s the reason you came to this site. Or perhaps you’re simply curious about this new, unknown world… until now.
